GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Junior
Christian Walker broke the school record in the 100-yard butterfly to lead the McDaniel College men's swimming team on the third day of the Centennial Conference Swimming Championships hosted by Gettysburg.
The Green Terror are in seventh place with 116 points.
Walker finished 17th in the prelims with a time of 52.26 seconds, breaking the mark set by Grayson Blanchard in 2018. As a result of his finish, Walker was an alternate for Saturday night's finals of the 100 fly.
In the 100-yard backstroke, freshman
Josh Morgan just missed qualifying for the B final by three seconds, touching the wall 18th in a new season-best time of 57.48 seconds.
Junior
Mark Sanelli finished 23rd in the 100 fly, shaving 13 seconds off his previous season best time while freshman
Grant Pawley also set a new season-best in the 100-yard breaststroke to finish 23rd.
The final day of the conference meet takes place Sunday with the prelims at 10 a.m. before concluding with the finals at 6 p.m.
