GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Highlighted by a season-best time from freshman
Cooper Eastlack in the 500-yard freestyle, the McDaniel College men's swimming team wrapped up competition on day two of the 2024 Centennial Conference Swimming Championships.
The Green Terror are in seventh place with 86 points.
Eastlack touched the wall in 5:43.89 which was 17 seconds faster than his previous best in the 500 free. Senior
Aleksei Dudley was the first of three-straight finishers for McDaniel as he clocked in at 5:24.99. Freshman
Dimitri Raush-Gernet finished in 6:08.19.
In the 200-yard individual medley, freshman
Ethan Gell posted a time of 2:13.55, finishing ahead of junior
Mark Sanelli who came in at 2:34.14.
Junior
Christian Walker was the top Green Terror finisher in the 50-yard freestyle in 22.88 seconds.
In Friday night's finals, the team of Gell, Walker, Dudley and freshman
Josh Morgan earned points in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 3:57.24.
The third day of the conference championship on Saturday begins with the prelims at 10 a.m. followed by the finals at 6 p.m.
