GETTYSBURG, Pa. - The McDaniel College men's swimming team currently sits in sixth place following the first night of the 2023 Centennial Conference Swimming Championships hosted by Gettysburg College.
The Green Terror have 52 points and are eight ahead of Dickinson. The host Bullets are in first with 102 points followed by Franklin & Marshall with 86.
McDaniel finished sixth out of seven teams in the A final of the 200-yard medley relay. The team of sophomore

Jack Alperstein and sophomore
Mark Sanelli earned 26 points with a time of 1:49.42 which was well below their seed time of 1:56.20.
Gettysburg won the event with a new conference and championship record.
In the 800-yard freestyle relay, the team of Lessler, Walker, senior
Zach Askounes and junior
Aleksei Dudley also finished sixth out of seven teams in the A final with a time of 7:50.11, almost 20 seconds faster than their seed time to capture 26 points.
Swarthmore, who owns the conference, championship and pool record in the event, came in first.
Session 2 of the conference meet gets underway with the prelims on Friday morning beginning at 10 a.m.
