LANCASTER, Pa. - Junior Christian Walker finished second in the 100-yard freestyle to lead the McDaniel College men's swimming team in a Centennial Conference dual meet at Franklin & Marshall on Saturday.
The Green Terror took home a second-place finish and a number of third-place showings as the Diplomats won the meet, 171-42.
Walker placed second in the 100 free with a time of 53.98 seconds while freshman Elvis Santos placed third and Aaden Latos finished fourth. Walker also placed fourth in the 100-yard butterfly.
Junior Mark Sanelli placed fourth in the 100-yard backstroke and fourth in the 200-yard individual medley.
Freshman Ethan Gell touched the wall third in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:11.26 while senior Aleksei Dudley placed fourth in the 500-yard freestyle ahead of freshman Cooper Eastlack in fifth. Dudley and Eastlack also placed fourth and fifth in the 200-yard freestyle.
The team of Walker, Gell, Dudley, and Eastlack finished second in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:43.13.
McDaniel will now take a break for the holiday before returning to action at home on Saturday, Jan. 13 in a dual meet against Hood.
