Mark Sanelli and freshman
Cooper Eastlack posted three individual top-10 finishes each to lead the McDaniel College men's swimming team in a meet with Gettysburg and Swarthmore on Saturday.
The Green Terror (1-2) fell to Swarthmore and Gettysburg by the same score of 219-37.
Eastlack placed fifth in the 1,000-yard freestyle, the team's best finish of the day, while coming in ninth in the 100-yard butterfly. He also finished 10th in the 200-yard backstroke.
Meanwhile, Sanelli finished ninth in the 100-yard backstroke and 200-yard individual medley as well as 10th in the 200-yard breaststroke.
Highlighted by Eastlack and Sanelli, McDaniel totaled 20 top-10 finishes. Freshman
Josh Morgan finished eighth in the 100 back in a time of 59.49 seconds and ninth in the 200 back. A trio of Green Terror had two ninth-place finishes, including senior
Aleksei Dudley, freshman
Caden Barcicowski and freshman
Ethan Gell.
Dudley placed ninth in the 200-yard butterfly and 500-yard freestyle, Barcicowski was ninth in the 100-yard breaststroke and 100-yard freestyle and Gell was ninth in the 50-yard freestyle and 200 breast.
Freshman
Dimitri Raush-Gernet placed ninth in the 200-yard freestyle and 10th in the 500-yard freestyle.
Freshman
Elvis Santos had a pair of top-10 finishes in the 50 and 100-yard freestyle while freshman
Aaden Latos was 10th in the 200 free and freshman
Grant Pawley was 10th in the 100 breast.
In the relays, Dudley, Morgan, Barcicowski and junior
Christian Walker finished ninth in the 200-yard medley relay in 1:51.90. Dudley, Morgan, Gell and Eastlack placed ninth in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
McDaniel makes its home debut next Saturday, Oct. 28 when the team hosts Centennial Conference foe Washington College beginning at 1 p.m. inside Harlow Pool.
