WESTMINSTER, Md. - McDaniel College men's swimming sophomore
Christian Walker had three top-three finishes as the Green Terror fell to Dickinson in a Centennial Conference dual meet Saturday at Harlow Pool.
In its home opener on Senior Day, McDaniel was downed by the Devils, 60-27.
Walker's best finish of the day came in the 100-yard butterfly where he finished second in a time of 56.17 seconds. He placed third in the 200-yard individual medley in 2:12.91 and was a member of the 200-yard freestyle relay team along with senior
Zach Askounes, senior
Jack Alperstein and junior
Aleksei Dudley that placed third in a time of 1:40.00.
Individually, Dudley had two third-place finishes in the 1,000-yard freestyle and the 100 fly in a time of 59.52 seconds.
Meanwhile, Askounes and Alperstein each had a pair of fourth-place finishes in freestyle events as Askounes was fourth in the 200 and 500-yard freestyle and Alperstein was fourth in the 50 and 100-yard freestyle.
Sophomore
Matthew Lessler placed fourth in the 100 free while sophomore
Mark Sanelli was fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke.
The Green Terror return to action next Saturday, Nov. 5 with a tri-meet at Stevenson with the Mustangs and St. Mary's (Md.). The meet, which begins at 2:30 p.m., will be held at The McDonogh School in Owings Mills.
