LEESBURG, Va. - McDaniel College women's cross country senior
Bailey Mullen and freshman
Piper Nagaraj led the Green Terror to a third-place finish at the inaugural Marymount Derby on Saturday at Morven Park.
McDaniel finished with a score of 82 points, trailing only Grove City and St. Mary's (Md.). The Green Terror beat out Hood, host Marymount (Va.) and Neumann.
Mullen ran a time of 24:40.6 in the 6k race to place third overall while Nagaraj finished 13th with a time of 25:54.0, just behind her personal-best of 25:31.6 set at the Paul Short Run on Sept. 30.
Sophomore
Megan O'Neil finished 16th in a time of 26:41.6 with freshmen
Anna Kale and
Arianna Lowengrub rounding out the tam score with a 32nd and 33rd-place finish, respectively.
The Green Terror will now prepare for the Centennial Conference Cross Country Championships hosted by Haverford on Saturday, Oct. 29.
