THE SKINNY STORY
Franklin & Marshall scored a pair of touchdowns in the second quarter before pulling away in the second half for a 35-0 win over McDaniel.

THE LEADERS
• Mason Brown (Inwood, N.J./Tuscarora [Md.]) led the Green Terror with 11 tackles.
• Nah'shon Godfrey (Baltimore, Md./Baltimore City College) added 10 tackles, a fumble recovery, interception and pass breakup.

FOR THE FOES
• Jack O'Hearen caught eight passes for 109 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Diplomats.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• After a first quarter in which neither offense could get anything going, Logan Clouse hit Jack O'Hearen on a 32-yard pass before a backward toss to Danny Solecki on the next play. Solecki connected with O'Hearen at the goalline and he dove in for a touchdown and 7-0 lead with 10:56 to play in the second quarter.
• A blocked punt after a three-and-out gave Franklin & Marshall the ball at the McDaniel 23. Three plays later, Clouse hit Will Higson for a 13-yard touchdown over the middle and 14-0 lead with 8:07 showing.
• On its first possession of the third quarter, the Diplomats grinded out an 11-play drive that consumed more than six minutes to cover 46 yards and resulted in a three-yard O'Hearen touchdown snag on the left side of the end zone, stretching the advantage to 21-0 with 7:25 remaining.
• Jermaine Conyers broke off a 36-yard run down the near sideline then paid it off one play later with a five-yard dive for a 28-0 lead with 1:04 to play in the third period.
• Franklin & Marshall chewed up another 8:21 of the fourth quarter on a 14-play march that covered 80 yards. Keshon Farmer capped his day with a seven-yard sprint into the end zone with 2:59 to play.

THE INSIDE STORY
• Franklin & Marshall limited McDaniel to just 149 yards of total offense in its first shutout in the series since 2008.

McDaniel returns to action at home against No. 8 Muhlenberg on Saturday. Game time is 2 p.m.
