THE SKINNY
McDaniel took advantage of a pair of penalties to score a touchdown in the final minute of the first half to defeat Gettysburg in a defensive battle, 7-3.

• Habeeb Baba (Bristol, Pa./Truman) led the Green Terror with eight tackles.
• Hunter Sigler (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) paced the offense with seven catches for 57 yards, including the game's only touchdown.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• After a defensive first 28 minutes of the first half, McDaniel was able to cash in a Riley Wolfensberger (Hagerstown, Md./Williamsport) interception with 1:43 on the clock. Aided by a pair of 15-yard Gettysburg penalties, John Allan Furgeson (Gaithersburg, Md./Damascus) hit Hunter Sigler for a 16-yard gain to move into the red zone for the first time. One play later, Sigler hauled in a 17-yard pass inside the five and lowered his shoulder and made his way into the end zone for a 7-0 lead with 46 seconds remaining.
• Gettysburg took the opening possession of the second half down the field before the drive stalled at the McDaniel 28. After missing two first-half field goals, Doug Cummings converted a 45-yard field goal to make it a 7-3 game with 10:42 showing.
THE INSIDE STORY
• The 10 combined points were the fewest in a game in the series since a 10-0 Gettysburg win in 1950.
• The Bullets outgained the Green Terror 303-235 on the day.
