THE SKINNY
McDaniel won three of the nine individual events to split a tri-meet at St. Mary's (Md.), defeating Stevenson 79-64 while falling to the hosts, 99-62.
THE LEADERS
• Thomas Fagiolo (Takoma Park, Md./Sandy Spring Friends School) won two individual wins for the Green Terror, touching first in the 1000 free (10:18.45 ) and 200 IM (2:10.32).
• Christian Walker (Chestertown, Md./The Gunston School) notched the other win, capturing the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:39.37. He was also second in the 200 free (1:55.13).
FOR THE FOES
• Luke Schwenk led the Seahawks with a two-win afternoon, touching first in the 50 free (21.73 seconds) and 100 free (47.96).
• Ian D'Angiolillo paced the Mustangs with two victories of his own, taking the 200 butterfly (2:05.75) and 200 backstroke (2:13.86).
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Aleksei Dudley (Arlington, Va./Wakefield) placed second in the 500 freestyle (5:20.39). He also added a fourth-place showing in the 200 IM with a time of 2:19.66.
• Ryan Anderson (Woodbine, Md./Sherwood) placed third in the 200 freestyle (2:11.36) and fifth in the 100 freestyle (58.26 seconds).
• Jack Alperstein (Arnold, Md./Broadneck) was third in the 100 free (54.48) after a fourth-place showing in the 50 free (24.15).
