A Garvin Brooms (Olney, Md./Good Counsel) strip sack gave McDaniel the ball at the Johns Hopkins 5. One play later, Cathey went around the right side to tie the game.

The Blue Jays drove inside the Green Terror 1 on their next possession but Ben Stapleton (Purcellville, Va./Loudoun Valley) forced a second fumble.

The Johns Hopkins defense forced a three-and-out and Dane Rogerson's punt return set up his offense at the 15. Three plays later, Tammaro found Brett Caggiano for the first of the quarterback's four touchdown tosses for a 14-7 lead with 1:55 showing in the first quarter.
