LANCASTER, Pa. – Carinna Powell (Chesapeake Beach, Md./Northern) finished 11th to lead McDaniel at the Lancaster Bible Homecoming Invitational in women's cross country action on Thursday.

Time and Score:

• The Green Terror finished second of 10 teams at the meet with 85 points. A total of 79 runners competed at the 6,000-meter distance. Lebanon Valley won the meet with 20 points.

Heads of the Class:

• Carinna Powell turned in a time of 27:02 to lead McDaniel in the race.

Five of a Kind: The following athletes rounded out the scoring five at the meet:

• Steph Becker (New Oxford, Pa./New Oxford) finished 20th (29:08).
• Sarah Lighter (Olney, Md./Good Counsel) finished 21st (29:10).
• Mable Buchanan (Westminster, Md./North Carroll) finished 28th (30:19)
• Lucy Benson (Wilmington, Del./Sanford) finished 33rd (31:05)

Top of Her Game: The following athletes turned in their best 6K time of the season at the meet:

• Carinna Powell's time of 27:02 was 1:19 better than her previous best.
• Steph Becker's time of 29:08 was 2:32 better than her previous best.
• Sarah Lighter's time of 29:10 was 2:01 better than her previous best.
• Lucy Benson's time of 31:05 was 50 seconds better than her previous best.

• Mollie Murphy, 46th, 33:48
