WESTMINSTER, Md. – Amelia Lawrence (Cabin John, Md./Walt Whitman) was the top collegiate finisher in both races to lead McDaniel at its own Green Terror Challenge in women's cross country action on Saturday.

The Green Terror posted 34 points in the 5,000-meter race, finishing behind only its alumni in the team standings, and was the only team to run complete in the 3,000-meter event.

Lawrence was sixth overall in the 5K with a time of 23:12 before finishing fourth overall in the 3K with a time of 13:47.

Kelsey Minyon (Millville, Del./Indian River) also ran in both events, finishing ninth in the 5K with a time of 23:48 before crossing sixth in the 3K with a time of 14:31.

Carinna Powell (Chesapeake Beach, Md./Northern) was the second McDaniel runner across the line in the 5,000-meter race, finishing eighth overall with a time of 23:45.

Emily Gross placed fifth overall in the 3,000-meter race with a time of 14:20.

Lucy Benson (Wilmington, Del./Sanford) and Danielle Fatzinger (North Catasauqua, Pa./North Catasauqua) finished seventh (15:22) and eighth (16:21) overall in the 3K while Kelly Gibson (Yardley, Pa./Pennington [N.J.]) was 10th (20:12).

The Green Terror returns to action at the Salty Dog Invitational hosted by Navy on Saturday. Race time is 11 a.m.
