Box Score ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Muhlenberg scored 41 first-half points en route to a 55-0 victory over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) football action on Saturday.
Ben Kahn (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) led the Green Terror (0-3, 0-2 CC) with a career-high eight tackles. Claude-Michel Richardson (Silver Spring, Md./Montgomery Blair) added a team-best nine stops.
Nick Savant led the Mules (2-1, 1-1 CC) with 122 yards rushing while Max Cepeda added 108 yards on the ground as part of a 399-yard rushing attack.
On Muhlenberg's opening drive, Nick Palladino engineered a nine-play drive that covered 75 yards. He found Mike Harris from 20 yards out on a slant route in the middle of the end zone for a 7-0 lead with 12:10 on the clock.
Savant broke a handful of tackles on a run up the middle on a third-and-3 to find the end zone on a 39-yard run, stretching the lead to 13-0 after a missed PAT with 8:49 to play.
Palladino rolled out left on third-and-goal, finding Savant for a nine-yard touchdown and 20-0 lead with 3:02 to play in the first quarter.
Cepeda broke through the line and went virtually untouched 49 yards for a 27-0 lead with 10:40 to play in the second quarter.
The Mules added on two more first-half touchdowns to take a 41-0 lead into the locker room.
Anthony Schwab found Matt Stickney for a nine-yard score midway through the third quarter to extend the advantage to 48.
Muhlenberg finished with a 607-165 advantage in total yards, including 399-79 on the ground.
Tayahd Campbell (Silver Spring, Md./Blake) led the McDaniel offense with 47 yards rushing.
The Green Terror returns to action at Ursinus on Saturday. Game time is 1 p.m.
