GREENSPRING, Md. – Kelsey Minyon (Millville, Del./Indian River) finished 81st to lead McDaniel to a 10th-place finish at the 2015 Centennial Conference (CC) women's cross country championship hosted by Johns Hopkins at Stevenson on Saturday.
The Green Terror finished with 313 points. Johns Hopkins won its eighth straight title with 19 points, outdistancing Haverford by 50 points.
Minyon led a quintet of McDaniel runners, who all finished with season-best times at the 6,000-meter distance, crossing with a time of 26:18.3.
Amelia Lawrence (Cabin John, Md./Walt Whitman) and Carinna Powell (Chesapeake Beach, Md./Northern) finished 86th and 87th, respectively. Lawrence tuned in a time of 26:29.2 while Powell crossed in a time of 26:33.0 in her first championship race.
Sarah Lighter (Olney, Md./Good Counsel) and Danielle Fatzinger (North Catasauqua, Pa./North Catasauqua) rounded out the Green Terror competitors, finishing with times of 28:21.5 (103rd) and 33:30.5 (106th), respectively.
McDaniel returns to action at the NCAA Mideast Regional at Big Spring High School on Saturday, Nov. 14. Action begins at 11 a.m.
