MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Amelia Lawrence (Cabin John, Md./Walt Whitman) finished 14th to lead McDaniel to a third-place finish at the Bud Smitley Invitational hosted by Penn State-Harrisburg in women's cross country action on Friday.
Lawrence finished the wet 6K course in a time of 27:57 to lead the Green Terror, who finished with 80 points. Lebanon Valley won the meet with 17 points.
Carinna Powell (Chesapeake Beach, Md./Northern) crossed 19th overall with a time of 28:33.
Sarah Lighter (Olney, Md./Good Counsel) finished 25th with a time of 30:15 while Lucy Benson (Wilmington, Del./Sanford) was 28th in a time of 31:07.
Danielle Fatzinger (North Catasauqua, Pa./North Catasauqua) rounded out the McDaniel competitors in 34th (34:19).
The Green Terror returns to action at the Charger Invitational hosted by Lancaster Bible on Saturday, Oct. 10. Action begins at 11 a.m.
