LANCASTER, Pa. – Amelia Lawrence (Cabin John, Md./Walt Whitman) finished eighth to lead a partial McDaniel squad at the Charger Invitational hosted by Lancaster Bible in women's cross country action on Saturday.
Lawrence finished the 5,000-meter course in a personal-best time of 22:04.6 to pace the Green Terror. Lancaster Bible won its own meet with 36 points.
Carinna Powell (Chesapeake Beach, Md./Northern) followed Lawrence across the line, finishing ninth with a time of 22:35.1.
Lucy Benson (Wilmington, Del./Sanford) rounded out McDaniel competitors with a time of 24:44.7 to finish 17th.
The Green Terror returns to action at the Mustang Twilight Tuneup hosted by Stevenson on Tuesday, Oct. 20. Action begins at 4 p.m.
