WESTMINSTER, Md. – Becky Kaler (Jefferson, Md./Brunswick) finished third in both races to lead McDaniel to a second-place finish at its own Green Terror Challenge in women's cross country action on Saturday.

The Green Terror finished with 24 points in the 3,000-meter race – just three points behind Mary Washington. In the 5,000-meter race, McDaniel amassed 39 points to total 63 on the day and finish second to Mary Washington, which had 38 points.

Kaler finished the 5,000-meter course in a time of 21:18 before doubling back to finish the 3K course in a time of 12:28.

Jasmine McCormick (Antioch, Calif./Holy Name) made her season debut in the 3,000-meter race, following Kaler across in fourth with a time of 12:43.

In the 5K, Avalon McOmber (Lexington, Va./Rockbridge County) placed 13th with a time of 23:19.

Phoebe McHale (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) finished 15th in the 3K (14:27) and 19th in the 5K (25:38).

In the 3K, Claire Lawson (McMinnville, Ore./McMinnville) crossed eighth with a time of 13:15 while Emily Gross (Red Lion, Pa./Red Lion) followed her across in ninth with a time of 13:16.

The Green Terror returns to action at the York (Pa.) Invitational on Saturday. The first race begins at 10 a.m.
