Wilson places 37th to pace McDaniel in Brown race at
prestigious event
BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lindsay Wilson (Catonsville, Md./Seton
Keough) finished 37th overall, completing the 6,000-meter
course in a time of 22:38 to lead McDaniel to a 35th-place finish
at the 2009 Paul Short Run in women's cross country action on
Friday.
The Green Terror competed in the brown race - the middle
strength of the three-race format - as part of a new format this
year that placed teams in races based on expected times. The brown
race featured teams from all three divisions. McDaniel accumulated
894 points, averaging 25:06 as a team. Division II Kutztown won the
race with 111 points.
Roxanne Fleischer (Westminster, Md./Winters
Mill) finished 107th overall in a season-best time of
23:37, finishing in the top third of the 338-person race.
Emma Nichols (Myersville, Md./Middletown)
crossed in a time of 25:48 while Jennifer Garnett (Los
Altos, Calif./Homestead) finished in a time of 25:57,
competing in their first 6K event of the season.
The Green Terror returns to action at the Gettysburg
Invitational on Oct. 17.
