Green Terror finish 15th at Gettysburg Invitational in final
event before conference championship
GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Lindsay Wilson (Catonsville, Md./Seton
Keough) finished 17th overall, completing the 6,000-meter
course in a time of 24:39.32 to lead McDaniel to a 15th-place
finish at the 2009 Gettysburg Invitational in women's cross country
action on Saturday.
The Green Terror finished with 394 points on the wet course -
the same course that will host the 2009 Centennial Conference
championship in two weeks. Division II Shippensburg won the 28-team
event with 72 points.
Roxanne Fleischer (Westminster, Md./Winters
Mill) crossed five spots behind Wilson in a time of
25:05.32.
Joy Chand (Frederick, Md./Gov. Thomas Johnson)
crossed 133rd overall in the 289-person field with a time of
27:33.71 while Jennifer Garnett (Los Altos,
Calif./Homestead) was 137th in a time of 27:41.40.
Emma Nichols (Myersville, Md./Middletown)
rounded out McDaniel's top five runners, crossing 167th in a time
of 28:19.57.
The Green Terror returns to action at the conference
championship meet on Oct. 31. Race time is 11 a.m.
