LANCASTER, Pa. – Three members of the McDaniel volleyball team have been named to the All-Centennial Conference (CC) team, released on Monday.
Junior Marlowe Embry (San Jose, Calif./J.H. Pitman) earned first-team honors while junior Gayle Edelstein (Livingston, N.J./Livingston) was named to the second team. Sophomore Anna Jezerski (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) was tabbed honorable mention.
Embry, an outside hitter, is making her third all-conference appearance and second straight first-team spot after being tabbed to the second team as a rookie. Embry led the attack all season with 271 kills and currently ranks second on the team with 285 digs. She is also leads the team with 35 aces and recorded nine double-doubles in 26 matches this season.
Edelstein, a setter, makes her first appearance on the all-conference team. She has put up 825 set assists and ranks second in the CC at 9.24 assists per set. She has also added 25 aces and 174 digs. She also has 15 total blocks and 57 kills.
Jezerski, an opposite-side hitter, also earns her first all-conference nod. She is second on the team with 233 kills and fourth on the squad with 162 digs. She had four double-doubles in 25 matches played this season. She has also added 30 assists and leads the team with 42 total blocks.
The Green Terror (14-12, 7-3 CC) advanced to the semifinals of the CC tournament and will learn later Monday if its season continues in the ECAC tournament.
