Brooks nets four goals in victory

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – McDaniel jumped out to a 7-2 halftime en route to a 17-4 victory over Delaware Valley in non-conference men's lacrosse action on Wednesday.

Micah Brooks (Woolford, Md./Cambridge South Dorchester) led the Green Terror (5-2) with four goals.

Dylan Brasch was one of four different players to score for the Aggies (0-4), adding an assist.

Devon Maranto (Dayton, Md./Loyola Blakefield) and Brooks scored 1 minute, 18 seconds apart to stake McDaniel to a 2-0 lead with 8:18 to play in the first quarter.

Jordan Smith finisehd a solo run at the 6:30 mark to cut the deficit in half but Brooks finished a pass from Maranto to start a 5-0 run.

Brooks and Jackson Reilly (Churchton, Md./Southern) each scored twice during the stretch.

PJ Rafferty responded 32 seconds after Reilly's second goal to make it a 7-2 game just 1:20 before the break.

Carson Marshall (Brookeville, Md./Glenelg) got the second-half scoring started 1:20 into the second half before a pair of Maranto goals stretched the lead to 10-2 with 2:20 to play in the third quarter.

The Green Terror stretched the lead to 12-2 after the third quarter and goals from Josh Davis (Wyoming, Del./Polytech) and Danny Lombardo (Stafford, Va./Fredericksburg Academy) – the first collegiate tallies for each – just 1:09 apart made it a 16-2 game with 7:18 to play.

Brasch broke up the scoring drought with 7:06 remaining before finding Matt Brady just over two minutes later.

Will Rund (Elkridge, Md./Howard) finished the scoring with 1:25 to play.

Rund and Jack Myers (Marriottsville, Md./Liberty) each won 7 of 10 faceoffs. Myers also picked up nine ground balls.

The Green Terror returns to action at Stockton on Saturday. Game time is 2 p.m.
