CARLISLE, Pa. – Dickinson scored twice in the first six minutes en route to a 9-0 win over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) field hockey action on Wednesday.
Paige Ford (Edgewater, Md./South River) and Elizabeth Collyer (Rock Hall, Md./Kent County) combined to make 15 saves for the Green Terror (2-14, 1-9 CC), splitting time in goal. Ford made eight saves in the first 29:30 before Collyer had seven stops in the final 40:30.
Chelsea Kramer recorded a natural hat trick to lead the Red Devils (9-7, 4-5 CC), who are in a position to earn the fifth spot in the CC tournament with a win over Gettysburg on Friday.
Kramer scored the first three goals of the game, including at the 4:14 and 5:55 marks. She completed her hat trick in the 20th minute.
Amber Dey tallied the game's next two goal, stretching the lead to 5-0 with 5:30 to play in the opening half.
Kim Monteferante extended the lead to 6-0 on a corner in the 32nd minute.
A Marie Laverdiere penalty stroke goal made it 7-0 at the 45:23 mark before Kayla Bendinelli score just over a minute later.
Emma Godfrey tallied the game's final goal in the 60th minute.
Dickinson finished with a 37-8 advantage in shots and 11-7 edge in penalty corners.
The Green Terror concludes the season at home against Albright on Saturday. Game time is 1 p.m.
