Ford makes 13 saves

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Haverford scored a pair of second-half goals to top McDaniel 3-0 in Centennial Conference (CC) field hockey action on Saturday.

Paige Ford (Edgewater, Md./South River) led the Green Terror (2-11, 1-7 CC) with 13 saves, reaching double-digit saves for the fifth straight contest and establishing a new career best.

Stephanie Terrell was one of three different players to score for the Fords (7-7, 2-5 CC), who finished with a 33-2 advantage in shots and 20-3 advantage in penalty corners.

Terrell finished on a corner in the 24th minute for a 1-0 lead.

Caroline Aronowitz knocked home a third-chance rebound in the 49th minute before Elana Veale knocked home a corner from the top of the circle in the 64th minute.

Gabrielle Yore (Olney, Md./Sherwood) took both shots for McDaniel.

The Green Terror returns to action at Frostburg on Tuesday. Game time is 6 p.m.
