Valori named all-region

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Nick Valori (Sewell, N.J./Washington Twp.), a graduate student on the McDaniel baseball team, has been named to the ABCA/Rawlings All-Mid-Atlantic Region team by the American Baseball Coaches' Association, released on Tuesday.

Valori, a first-team All-Centennial Conference (CC) outfielder, was named to the third team. Starting all 35 games, he hit a conference-best .419 on the year. He rapped out 57 hits to become the program's all-time career hits leader, finishing his career with 216 knocks. Among his 57 hits were 11 doubles, two triples and five home runs for a .640 slugging percentage. He drove in 26 runs and scored 32 times. He also stole seven bases.

The Green Terror finished the season with an overall record of 13-22 (5-13 CC).
