CARLISLE, Pa. – Dickinson scored single runs in the seventh and eighth innings to top McDaniel 4-2 in Centennial Conference (CC) baseball action on Friday.

Nick Valori (Sewell, N.J./Washington Twp.) led the Green Terror (9-16, 1-7 CC) with a 3-for-5 day at the plate.

Adam Sumners had one of four two-hit days for the Red Devils (17-13, 4-4 CC), including a leadoff home run in the seventh inning to break a 2-all deadlock.

Max Brown reached on a two-out infield single before taking second on a throwing error. He then advanced to third on a passed ball before scoring on a Max Matilsky double to the gap for a 4-2 lead.

After a scoreless first five innings, Kasey Nelson (St. Pete Beach, Fla./St. Michaels [Md.]) led off the sixth inning with a home run.

A one-out Tim Griest (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) single, fielder's choice and Mike Dunn (Lanham, Md./DeMatha) RBI single doubled the advantage.

Rick Hopkins led off the sixth with a single before Ben Carter reached on an error to put runners at first and second.

After a sacrifice bunt, a second miscue in the frame allowed both runners to score and tie the game.

Austin Fry (Sunbury, Pa./Shamokin Area) added two hits for McDaniel.

The Green Terror returns to action at home against Muhlenberg on Saturday. The first game of the doubleheader begins at 12:30 p.m.
