WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – St. Scholastica limited McDaniel to just seven hits in a doubleheader sweep in non-conference baseball action at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational on Thursday.

Braydon Hanson led off the top of the third in game one with a single to center before Drew Colvard reached on a bunt single.

Back-to-back groundouts staked the Saints to a 1-0 lead.

A catcher's interference call, Trevor Bernsdorf single and Wollenzien double made it a 2-0 game in the sixth.

Two-run singles by Steven Neutzling and Wollenzien keyed a five-run seventh inning to set the final margin.

McDaniel had singles in each of the first two innings before Grant Rindal retired 17 straight for the shutout win.

In game two, Michael Grove singled to lead off the third before a pair of balks and a passed ball made it a 1-0 game.

Wollenzien keyed a two-run fourth with a triple.
