At the annual award ceremonies that McDaniel College holds each spring, 25 Green Terror student-athletes were among the honorees. On Apr. 29, the College recognized more than 30 undergraduate students at the annual Spring Awards Ceremony. On May 18, the College held its annual Senior Investiture and Honors Convocation, where 41 academic and activity/leadership awards were given to graduating seniors.
McDaniel College has announced its Dean’s List from the Fall 2017 semester and 129 Green Terror student-athletes, including 37 first-semester students, qualified for the honors. In addition, six student-athletes were named to the Green and Gold Honor Roll.
Taylor Bauman, a junior, and Kristen Upton, a senior, were named the Centennial Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year in their respective sports. Bauman and Upton were two of 30 Green Terror spring student-athletes named to the CC Fall Academic Honor Roll.
Rebecca Debinski finished 10th to lead McDaniel to a fifth-place finish at the Hornet Harrier. The Green Terror finished with 190 points and placed fifth overall and third in the non-Commonwealth division.
Samantha Merkel finished second in the 3,000-meter race to lead McDaniel to a win at its own Green Terror Challenge. The Green Terror posted a perfect score in both the 3,000-meter and 5,000-meter races to finish with 10 points in each race.
