McCormick crosses 38th at championship

WESTMINSTER, Md. – Jasmine McCormick (Antioch, Calif./Holy Name) finished 38th overall to lead McDaniel at the 2013 Centennial Conference women's cross country championship hosted at the Carroll County Farm Museum on Saturday.

The Green Terror finished with 286 points to place 10th. Johns Hopkins won its sixth straight championship with 17 points. Haverford was second with 55 at the 10-team championship meet.

McCormick finished with a time of 24:48.2.

Amber Slater (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) crossed 81st overall with a time of 28:15.2 while Avalon McOmber (Lexington, Va./Rockbridge County) placed 83rd overall in a time of 28:20.5.

Lauren Murray (Centreville, Md./Queen Anne's County) finished 92nd overall in a time of 29:29.1 while Phoebe McHale (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) was 95th with a time of 29:42.1.

The Green Terror returns to action at the 2013 NCAA Division III Mideast Regional at Lehigh on Saturday, Nov. 16. Action begins at 11 a.m.
