LANCASTER, Pa. – Lindsay Wilson (Catonsville, Md./Seton Keough), a senior on the McDaniel cross country team, has been named Centennial Conference (CC) Runner of the Week for the week of Sept. 6-12.
Wilson won both the 3,000- and 5,000-meter races at the Green Terror Challenge on Saturday.
Wilson opened the morning with a convincing win, completing the 5K course in a time of 19:08 – the second-fastest time ever run on the McDaniel course. She outdistanced the next collegiate runner by 1 minute, 31 seconds and Green Terror alums Jill Krebs and Diana Pool by 39 and 73 seconds, respectively.
In the 3K, Wilson doubled back to finish off her personal double, crossing the line in a time of 11:17 for the fastest time in the history of the course.
The Green Terror returns to action at the York (Pa.) Invitational on Saturday.
