McDaniel finishes 13th at Dickinson

Fleischer finishes 27th to lead Green Terror in first 6K race of season

CARLISLE, Pa. - Roxanne Fleischer (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) finished 27th overall in the 6,000-meter race to lead McDaniel to an 13th-place showing at the Dickinson Long-Short Invitational in women's cross country action on Saturday.

The Green Terror, behind a 148-point performance in the long race, finished with 350 points to finish 13th of the 17 complete teams. There were 29 teams that competed in at least one of the races. McDaniel was 12th in the 6K event.

Dickinson won the overall title with a combined 79 points.

Fleischer finished in a time of 24:54.4 to record the fourth-fastest 6,000-meter time of any active Green Terror runner.

Joy Chand (Frederick, Md./Gov. Thomas Johnson) placed 61st overall with a time of 26:25.6 while Emily Hajjar (Frederick, Md./Urbana) crossed 92nd in a time of 28:32.7.

Jennifer Garnett (Los Altos, Calif./Homestead) paced McDaniel in the 4,000-meter race with a 44th-place finish in a time of 16:47.2 - the fourth-best time in program history on that course.

Kristin Beil (Parkton, Md./Hereford) was 98th overall, crossing in a time of 18:26.4.

The Green Terror returns to action at the York (Pa.) Invitational on Saturday.
