Embry named ECAC Rookie of the Week

DANVILLE, Conn. – Marlowe Embry (Milpitas, Calif./J.H. Pitman), a freshman on the McDaniel volleyball team, has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III South Volleyball Rookie of the Week for the week of Sept. 25-Oct. 1.

Embry led the Green Terror (14-1, 3-0 CC) to a 3-0 week, averaging 4.11 kills per set and hitting .300. She recorded 37 kills on the week and added 21 digs. She recorded a double-double with 13 kills and 12 digs in McDaniel's lone conference match of the week – a 3-0 win over Washington (Md.) on Saturday.

For the season, Embry leads the team with 172 kills and ranks second on the team with 158 digs.

The Green Terror, who has won 13 straight matches, returns to action at Franklin & Marshall on Wednesday. Match time is 7 p.m.
