Two earn All-CC volleyball honors

LANCASTER, Pa. – Two members of the McDaniel volleyball team have been named to the All-Centennial Conference (CC) team, released on Tuesday.

Kloe Martin (Littleton, Colo./Heritage) was named to the first-team while Madeline Rose (Soddy Daisy, Tenn./Baylor High) was tabbed honorable mention.

Second-year head coach Jessica Cortese was also named the conference's Coach of the Year.

Martin, a sophomore outside hitter, leads the team with 329 kills. She is also second on the team with 267 digs. She is also tied for the team lead with 31 aces and fourth on the team with 29 total blocks.

Rose, a freshman middle hitter, leads the squad with 77 total blocks and ranks second with 240 kills. She is tied for third with 29 aces.

Cortese led the team from an 0-10 conference season to a 7-3 mark and the squad's first CC tournament appearance since 2007.

The Green Terror (19-5, 7-3 CC) returns to action at Bethany (W.Va.) in the semifinals of the ECAC Southwest tournament on Saturday. Match time is 10 a.m. The third-place and championship matches will played later in the day on Saturday.
