CENTREVILLE, Mass. – Kloe Martin (Littleton, Colo./Heritage), a sophomore on the McDaniel volleyball team, has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III South Co-Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 16-22.
It is the second honor of the week for Martin. On Monday, she was tabbed Centennial Conference (CC) Player of the Week.
The outside hitter led the Green Terror (7-3, 1-1 CC) in kills (42) and digs (49) in a 3-0 week, including recording a pair of double-doubles. Among her performances on the week was her first career 20/20 outings in a 3-2 win at Bryn Mawr, leading McDaniel to its first conference win since 2010. She recorded career highs of 21 kills and 28 digs against the Owls.
On Wednesday, she recorded 14 kills and 16 digs at Goucher and added seven kills and five digs to round out a 2-0 Saturday against Gwynedd-Mercy. She added five aces, three assists and three blocks while hitting .229.
For the season, Martin leads the team with 103 kills and ranks second with 104 digs. She is also second on the team with 13 aces.
The Green Terror returns to action at home against Hood on Thursday. Match time is 7 p.m.
