BALTIMORE, Md. – Johns Hopkins recorded 16 aces as part of a 3-0 win over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) volleyball action on Wednesday.
Colette Kellen (Derwood, Md./Covenant Life) led the Green Terror (7-20, 0-9 CC) with 12 assists and seven digs. Annie McShea (Frederick, Md./Gov. Thomas Johnson) led the attack with six kills.
Caitlin Callihan and Jasmine Warmington recorded seven kills apiece to lead the Blue Jays (26-3, 8-1 CC), who kept their hopes alive for the top seed in next week's CC tournament.
Johns Hopkins bookended the sweep with 25-9 victories while tallying a 25-19 win in the second set.
Anne Cohen, Becky Paynter and Megan Schwarz had six digs each for the Blue Jays.
McShea, Olivia Kunc (Chesterbook, Pa./Conestoga) and Julia Wainwright (Princeton Junction, N.J./West Windsor-Plainsboro North) each paced the McDaniel defense with eight digs.
Kloe Martin (Littleton, Colo./Heritage) added five kills, three digs and an ace.
McDaniel concludes the season at Washington (Md.) on Saturday. Match time is 1 p.m.
