WASHINGTON, D.C. – Catholic took command in set one en route to a 3-0 win over McDaniel in non-conference volleyball action on Wednesday.
Kloe Martin (Littleton, Colo./Heritage) led the Green Terror (3-6) with nine kills and 14 digs.
The Cardinals (6-3) took the opening set 25-4 before completing the sweep with wins of 25-21 and 25-16, respectively.
Bridget Kulesh led the hosts with six kills while Kristina Purcell steadied the defense with 16 digs.
Colette Kellen (Derwood, Md./Covenant Life) added 19 assists to the McDaniel offense while Annie McShea (Frederick, Md./Gov. Thomas Johnson) chipped in two aces.
Julia Wainwright (Princeton Junction, N.J./West Windsor-Plainsboro North) added 13 digs while Kellen had 10.
The Green Terror opens the Centennial Conference schedule as part of a home tri-match on Saturday. McDaniel takes on conference-foe at 12 p.m. and Goucher at 4 p.m.
