Frostburg sweeps McDaniel
Bobcats remain perfect on year with 3-0 win
FROSTBURG, Md. – Annie McShea (Frederick, Md./Gov. Thomas Johnson) and Kelly Toms (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) recorded six kills apiece to lead McDaniel in a 3-0 loss at Frostburg in non-conference volleyball action on Wednesday.
The Bobcats (11-0) took the first set 25-13 before winning sets No. 2 and No. 3 by identical 25-16 scores.
Jackie Hawkins (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) added 17 assists and 12 digs for the Green Terror (0-9), who dropped its ninth consecutive match by a 3-0 score.
Katie Ferguson (Dover, Pa./Northern York) led the defense with 13 digs while McShea added 11.
McDaniel returns to action at home against Muhlenberg on Saturday. Match time is 3:30 p.m.
