McDaniel falls twice in home tri-match
WESTMINSTER, Md. – Taylor Herrgott (Derwood, Md./Magruder) recorded 24 kills in two matches but McDaniel fell twice in volleyball action, including the Centennial Conference (CC) opener, on Saturday.
The Green Terror (5-5, 0-1 CC) dropped a 3-0 decision to
Muhlenberg, falling 25-13, 25-16, 25-8 before falling to Mary
Waashington, 3-1 (26-24, 18-25, 25-17, 25-13).
Against the Mules (11-4, 1-0 CC), Herrgott recorded seven of
McDaniel’s 20 kills in the match.
Kristen Nuckles (Suffolk, Va./Nansemond-Suffolk
Academy) added 13 assists while Kristie Fourcade
(Ijamsville, Md./St. Johns at Prospect Hall) led the
defense with nine digs.
Against the Eagles (8-6), Herrgott notched 17 kills while Nuckles
had 23 assists to pace the offense.
Fourade keyed the defense with 18 digs while Jenna Filipone
(Wayne, Pa./Radnor) and Nuckles tallied 11 apiece.
Katie Ferguson (Dover, Pa./Northern York) added 10
digs while Herrgott had four total blocks.
The Green Terror returns to action at the Elizabethtown Blue Jay
Classic on Friday and Saturday. Action begins on Friday at 2:30
p.m.
