TROY, N.Y. – Claire Lawson (McMinnville, Ore./McMinnville) finished seventh in the 400 hurdles to lead McDaniel at the 2014 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) women's outdoor track and field championship meet hosted by Rensselaer on Thursday and Friday.
Lawson won her heat of the race, finishing seventh overall with a time of 1:05.10. Jasmine McCormick (Antioch, Calif./Holy Name) crossed right behind her with a time of 1:05.13 to finish eighth and give the Green Terror its three points at the championship.
On Thursday, McCormick finished with a personal-best time of 15.70 seconds in the 100 hurdles, finishing 26th overall. Her time ranks fourth on the program's all-time list.
Later on Thursday, McCormick joined Lawson, Emily Gross (Red Lion, Pa./Red Lion) and Chloe Allen-Gorman (Portland, Ore./Lincoln) to finish 28th in the 4x400 relay with a time of 4:06.47 on a wet track.
Later in the day on Friday, McCormick joined Gross, Becky Kaler (Jefferson, Md./Brunswick) and Allen-Gorman to record the third-best time in program history, finishing ninth in the 4x800 relay with a time of 9:53.02.
