FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Jasmine McCormick (Antioch, Calif./Holy Name) won the 400 hurdles to lead McDaniel at the Battleground Relays hosted by Mary Washington in season-opening women's outdoor track and field action on Friday and Saturday.
The Green Terror had just three athletes take part in the non-scoring meet.
McCormick won the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:06.85, ranking fourth in program history and hitting one of two Centennial Conference qualifiers for McDaniel.
Claire Lawson (McMinnville, Ore./McMinnville) added the other qualifier, finishing third in the 100 hurdles. She turned in a time of 17.38 seconds in the prelims before bettering that to a time of 16.91 in the finals.
McCormick was also in the 100 hurdles, finishing eighth with a time of 19.76.
Chloe Allen-Gorman (Portland, Ore./Lincoln) finished fourth in the 3,000 meters with a time of 11:18.53.
The Green Terror returns to action with the full team at the Jopson Invitational hosted by Bridgewater on Saturday.
