Three McDaniel athletes compete at Widener

CHESTER, Pa. – Katie Corson (Ocean View, Md./Ocean City) finished 11th in the 400 to lead a trio of McDaniel athletes at the Widener Invitational in women's outdoor track and field action on Friday.

The Green Terror sent a small contingent to the non-scoring meet, competing in four different events.

Corson crossed 11th in the 400 with a time of 1:00.97. She was also tied for 12th in the high jump (1.36 meters) and tied for 17th in the long jump (4.39).

Laura Shinn (Weehawken, N.J./Pennington) and Phoebe McHale (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) competed in the 1,500, finishing 46th (5:40.40) and 57th (6:11.44), respectively.

The Green Terror returns to action at the Centennial Conference Championships hosted by Muhlenberg on Apr. 29-May 1.
