LEWISBURG, Pa. – Chloe Allen-Gorman (Portland, Ore./Lincoln) finished third overall in the 800 to lead McDaniel at the Bison Opener hosted by Bucknell in women's indoor track and field action on Saturday.
Allen-Gorman established a new program record in the event, turning in a time of 2:23.09 to win her heat and top the 13-year-old mark by 0.60 seconds.
Jasmine McCormick (Antioch, Calif./Holy Name) added a fifth-place finish in the 300 (44.16 seconds) and 20th-place showing in the 60 hurdles (10.97). Her 300 time ranks fourth all-time.
Lucy Benson (Wilmington, Del./Sanford) rounded out the light contingent on the first weekend of the season for the Green Terror, finishing 19th in the 500 with a time of 1:38.75.
Allen-Gorman and McCormick both hit Centennial Conference-qualifying standards in the two conference events ran.
McDaniel returns to action at the Hagerstown Invitational on Saturday.
