SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Becky Kaler (Jefferson, Md./Brunswick) won the 5,000-meter run to lead McDaniel at the Susquehanna Invitational in women's indoor track and field action on Sunday.
Kaler paced a group of eight Green Terror athletes at the non-scoring meet with a time of 19:46.00.
Laura Shinn (Weehawken, N.J./Pennington Prep) also hit the Centennial Conference (CC)-qualifying mark in the team's last opportunity before the championship meet. Shinn crossed sixth in the 5,000 with an indoor personal-best time of 20:44.52.
Phoebe McHale (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) finished ninth in her first indoor 5K with a time of 21:23.68.
Jasmine McCormick (Antioch, Calif./Holy Name) added a pair of fifth-place showings in two jumps. She cleared 1.37 meters in the high jump and reached a personal-best distance of 4.64 meters in the long jump.
Sophomore Teresa Paz (Hollywood, Md./Leonardtown) saw the first track action of her career, finishing 20th in the 200 with a time of 30.01 seconds.
Holbrook finished 17th (2:50.1) while Fleischer was 20th (3:15.0) and Kulp was 22nd (3:50.6).
The Green Terror returns to action at the CC Championship Meet hosted by Ursinus on Saturday, Feb. 25. Action begins at 10:30 a.m.
