Pollard wins set

WESTMINSTER, Md. – Ursinus swept doubles play en route to a 9-0 win over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) women's tennis action on Saturday.

Laura Pollard (Federalsburg, Md./Colonel Richardson) led the Green Terror (2-16, 0-10 CC) with a set win at No. 2 singles. Aubrey Whitebloom took the first set 7-5 before Pollard forced a deciding set with a 6-3 win. Whiteblooom prevailed in the super-tiebreaker, 10-5.

BreAnna Bashaw and Christina Cromwell led the Bears (9-9, 4-6 CC), winning twice while only dropping a game each.

Bashaw teamed with S.J. Seabra for an 8-1 win at second doubles before winning third singles, 6-0, 6-0.

Cromwell and Heather McMasters partnered for an 8-1 win at first doubles before Cromwell took a 6-0, 6-0 win at fourth singles.
