Breece takes two games

WESTMINSTER, Md. – Franklin & Marshall did not drop more than one game in any match, defeating McDaniel 9-0 in Centennial Conference (CC) women's tennis action on Wednesday.

Nina Breece (Petaluma, Calif./Petaluma) won two games to lead the Green Terror (1-10, 0-4 CC), winning two games. She teamed with Laura Pollard (Federalsburg, Md./Colonel Richardson to drop an 8-1 decision at second doubles before falling 6-0, 6-1 at sixth singles.

Megan FritzMaurice led the Diplomats (9-4, 4-1 CC), going 2-0 without dropping a game. She and Dana Sleeper notched an 8-0 win at first doubles before she tallied a 6-0, 6-0 win at second singles.

Danielle Cloney (Severna Park, Md.) also won two games, falling 8-1 with Angela Johnson (Lansdowne, Md.) at third doubles before dropping a 6-1, 6-0 match at fourth singles.

The Green Terror returns to action at home against Muhlenberg on Saturday. Match time is 1 p.m.
