Lewis wins seven games

WESTMINSTER, Md. – Washington won all six singles matches in straight sets to cap a 9-0 Centennial Conference (CC) women's tennis victory over McDaniel on Saturday.

Lauren Lewis (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis) led the Green Terror (3-2, 0-1 CC), dropping a 6-4, 6-3 decision to Amy Stevens at No. 6 singles.

Jordan Finnegan and Amanda Bercovici helped the Shorewomen (6-0, 2-0 CC) remain undefeated by not dropping a game in 2-0 days.

The duo combined for an 8-0 win at first doubles before Finnegan won 6-0, 6-0 at first singles and Bercovici notched a 6-0, 6-0 victory at second singles.

Stevens and Bethany Daller added an 8-0 win at third doubles.

Daller capped her 2-0 day with a 6-0, 6-0 day at No. 4 singles.

The Green Terror returns to action at Swarthmore on Sunday. Match time is 1 p.m.
