McDaniel recognized for academics
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – The College Swimming Coaches Association of America recently released its Team Scholar All-American list for the Fall 2012 semester and McDaniel was among the Division III teams recognized.
The Green Terror was once again highly successful in the classroom, posting a collective team grade-point average of 3.41.
McDaniel was one of 113 programs in the country recognized for having a team GPA of 3.0 or better, ranking tied for 31st on the list that included four Centennial Conference (CC) teams.
The academic honor capped a banner week for the program, which recorded no fewer than 32 top1-10 all-time times at the CC championship meet over the weekend.
Emma Duesterhaus (Spartanburg, S.C./Spartanburg) won the 100 backstroke in a program-record time of 58.65 seconds to earn first-team All-CC honors.
