HUNTINGDON, Pa. – McDaniel had the final say in a back-and-forth affair, defeating Juniata 3-2 in non-conference women's soccer action on Saturday.
Nicole Hill (Bowie, Md./Bowie), the reigning Centennial Conference Player of the Week, led the Green Terror (8-2) with two goals to extend the team's current winning streak to five – the longest stretch since 2003.
Emily Green and Paula Pryor found the back of the net for the Eagles (8-3), registering a pair of unassisted tallies 17:04 apart.
Trailing 3-2 on the Pryor touch-shot goal with 10 minutes left in the first half, Julia Pope (Manchester, Md./North Carroll) drew things back even with a long shot that found the back of the net with 3:35 to play in the opening stanza.
The 2-all deadlock stood until Hill collected the ball on a scrum in front of the net and finished with just 1:18 to play in regulation.
Hill headed a ball in from Pope just 4:47 into the contest to stake the visitors to a 1-0 lead.
Green knocked in a rebound in the 18th minute to even the game.
McDaniel finished with a 17-13 advantage in shots while Juniata held a 5-3 edge in corner kicks.
The Green Terror returns to action at home against Franklin & Marsahll on Wednesday. Game time is 4 p.m.
