Hill provides difference in 2-1 McDaniel win

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – McDaniel scored a pair of second-half goals to rally and defeat Ursinus 2-1 in Centennial Conference (CC) women's soccer action on Saturday.

Nicole Hill (Bowie, Md./Bowie) broke the 1-all deadlock for the Green Terror (7-2, 2-1 CC), scoring an unassisted tally in the 78th minute.

Jeannie Jaskinski gave the Bears (5-5-1, 1-3-1 CC) a 1-0 first-half lead, tallying an unassisted marker of her own 16:39 into the contest.

Sam Wilson (New Castle, Colo./Coal Ridge) evened the game, scoring off an Erica Diffendal (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) corner kick at the 52:23 mark.

Hill provided the difference 15:19 later to send McDaniel to its fourth straight win and best nine-game start since 2003.

Haley Jacobs (Forest Hill, Md./North Harford) made six saves in goal for the Green Terror while Kara DiJoseph stopped five shots for Ursinus.

The Bears finished with a 16-13 advantage in shots while McDaniel held a 5-4 edge in corner kicks.

The Green Terror returns to action at Juniata on Saturday. Game time is 1 p.m.
