The McDaniel women's soccer team held a training session on Saturday, May 4 with the Fatima girls' soccer team from Potomac, Md.
The team hosted a group of girls between the ages of 13 and 18, who have never played for an organized team and have had very little coaching. McDaniel coach, Sandy Lagana, was introduced to the coach of the Fatima program at an NSCAA coaching course over the summer.
The Fatima team received one-on-one time with the McDaniel players where they developed their soccer skills. The training session consisted of drills to improve footwork and ball skills, and games to apply those skills learned.
The local Soccer Without Borders Program also came to campus on Saturday and were hosted by McDaniel's mens program.
